What is life? Part-III

It is true that this simple question invites thousands of answers both from believers and non-believers and other of the whole world. Before jumping to the spiritual pool, we should have science at a glance. Because in day-to-day life science and technology has taken the whole of the human civilization at storm. Now, the human mind is hijacked towards a disquiet and unstable society because of ignorance, Not knowing truth of “life.” In such a situation question arises should an individual who is pivot of the society be religious and spiritual (Absolute believer – Theist group) even possessing most scientific intellect or none-believer (Atheist, Anti Theist, Agnostic, Sceptic, Free Thinker, Humanist & Pan Theist), every group having own logic own life.

This is today’s dilemma. By trait man loves to remain at peace but where lies the peace? The true peace? Man should recognize the difference between the true and the apparent peace. So many religious and spiritual leaders, philosophers, social reformers, politicians, a law maker have put their concern in this context. I can quote from the famous book, more than life SADGURU by Arundhati Subramaniam – “Now unfortunately we are reaching at dangerous point where there is neither morality nor consciousness. If we do not do something urgent to raise the human consciousness we fall in to the horrible trap of morality and if we do not do either we will fall into total chaos”

 Science at a Glance.

We are not going details of whole development of science and technology but the general concept of science at a glance. Science is defined as systemic study of structures and behavior’s of physical and natural world through observation and experimentation taking theories against the evidence obtained. This is from oxford languages.

In nutshell applying established physical and natural laws gathering knowledge out of experimentation making new theories upon which further development takes place. So, It is a “KHOJ” in physical and natural world appealing to ours five sense organs and the mind as well as intellect.

Question arises is there anything beyond this?

It is true that science has tremendous gift to the society in the form of modern days all gadgets, from driverless car to airships and rockets, from humanoid robots to experimentation of development of deathless human form (GODHOOD). It has developed technique to explore the deep sea, the inside of the earth, extra-terrestrial objects, and the universe at large and designed medical equipment and medicines to cure the disease and establish pleasure taking out pain and suffering of the patient. In brief science-philosophy has tried to narrow down the gap between the physical reality and imaginary wish of the humanity.

But can this life be sustainable in the lap of complete dynamism of science and technology? What is the first atomic bomb story about? Was it created for everlasting peace of the society or destruction of the society? Was it created out of curiosity of pure science? I can lead you upon two quotes by two brilliant scientists that world has ever seen.

  1. Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb remarked after the explosion of the first atomic bomb “Trinity test” in New Mexico on July 16th 1945. Explosion brought to the mind the words from Bhagavat Gita,” Now I am becoming the death, the destroyer of the world “.

On August 6th 1945 first atom bomb dropped on Hiroshima Japan. “Woe is me” Albert Einstein upon hearing the news of Hiroshima bombing. Now we are witnessing the threat to our own civilization created out of science-ego then, is magnified many times now.

I wish the great Einstein who is the pioneer or E=mc2 may have taken the leaf from our Hindu scripture (Gita & other scriptures).

E= The supreme energy or the absolute energy : (The energy released out of atomic fission in physics term)

M = The mass, the human body :  (Materials in terms of physics)

C = Consciousness, the spiritual power in human body : (Speed of light, another form of energy in physics)

I will not be wrong to interpret Einstein theory of E=mcin light of spiritualism.

We can attain the enlightenment equivalent to E, the supreme energy, the GOD, when our consciousness will be multiplied near infinity to merge with him.

I can quote a line from professor Freeman Dyson (Theoretical Physicist Princeton Institute for advanced study) “I do not make any clear distinction between mind and God. God is what mind becomes when it has passed beyond the scale of our comprehension. God may be world-soul or a collection of world-soul. So, I am thinking that atoms and humans and God may have minds that differ in degree but not in kind”.

So where lies the life, which is manifested phenomenally all over the universe? What is relative and absolute truth? Is science and spiritualism being contradictory to each other or science is a sub version of spiritualism? According to eminent scientist Professor D.H.R. Barton Nobel Prize winner for chemistry TEXAS A & M University, “God is truth. There is no incompatibility between science and religion. Both are seeking the same truth.”

So in one eye science is “what we see and believe” but in spiritualism we first believe then see through our inner eye.
