PREFACE
With little effort previously I have tried to define, WHAT IS LIFE?, keeping the view of biological mortality with/without, spiritual and philosophical background. That is how our actions are reflected and personality is shaped in life journey. So death bears an important land mark in this process. In view of biological mortality that we witness in day to day life human existence is remarkable phenomena. It is quite charming as well as astonishing fact. Individual mortality is an inevitable consequence of life itself. Yet, humanity as species has exhibited remarkable resilience across millennia, overcoming challenges, adapting to changing environments and forging civilization. Death has been designed to bring in to force of natural cycle of renewal, paving the way for new generation to carry on human legacy. In case of biological immortality [As proposed by many by different ways], the world scenario will be completely different.
Through you tube and other social media platform, we can see everyday, how people are worried about future. There by society is looking healthy out ward but imbibed with heavy morbidity in mental health and other diseases. But it is important to bear in mind, what is told by many spiritual and religious leaders and special teaching by Bhagavad-Gita, as how to remain calm at all odds of life so as to enjoy a blissful life. In the book “The power of now”, Eckart Tolle has explained it nicely. I wish to quote from the book “VIVEKANANDA READER” by him Now, when we study metaphysics, we come to know the world is one, not the spiritual, the material, the mental, and the world of energies are separate. It is one, but seen from different planes of vision.…..’Birth‘ life, and death are but old superstition. None was ever born, none will ever die, one changes one’s position that is all.
What is death? How it occurs?
How does it affect the individual and whole man kind? In my opinion death be it individual or mass, death of any cause [Even death penalty awarded by any state on earth] is the single most universal emotional experiences causing an definite impact in human mind than any other.
Life in particular human life is so vast, precious, joyous, the beauty of which is reflected at any angle it is viewed. It is not comparable to any living object on earth. On spiritual line it is told that everything on earth comes from Brahman, the ultimate source of existence. Everything on earth participate in Brahman as a part the interconnected web of reality. Brahman is the supreme universal realty. As per Bhagabat Gita Srikrishna reveals that he wishes to be born as human on earth time and again to punish the evils and to establish DHARMA. ‘Whenever and wherever there is decline in religious practice, O descendant of Bharata, and a predominant rise of irreligion-at that time I descend myself.’ [4-7]. It is evident that when life on earth goes wrong, driven by wicked nature of evils, GOD, the supreme manifest Himself to regain the divinity in the society. ‘To deliver the pious and to annihilate the miscreants, as well as to establish the principles of religion, I myself appear ,millennium after millennium’. [4-8],
Human mind by nature runs from pillar to post to explore its origin and its nature. Studies are going on since our race gets an evolving consciousness, enriched with knowledge through Neuroscience, Philosophy, Psychology, Anthropology, Biology, History, Sociology, above all spiritualism, and religions. Most of the studies reveals only the material science on biological process connecting 3 main dots so to say, the birth, life process, and death.
Birth marks the beginning of the human life, when egg is fertilized to develop in to a viable foetus and is born to the world. The event is accompanied by a series of physiological, Biochemical, and Environmental changes that transform a single cell zygote, containing Genetic information needed to develop in to a complex multicellular, multiorgan human body.
Life process is the time between birth and death. It is the core principle of human existence comprises of Growth, Development, Reproduction, and Maintenance. Based on various studies scientist try to find the reason for such events, affecting good health disease process and death.
Death is the ultimate end of every human life. At individual level each death is different as an event and consequences prior to and after death. Scientific study focuses on objective study of such event and tries to prove everything in terms of neuronal activity of brain. It has failed to explain the vast subjective experiences as well as the principle of consciousness. I have mentioned a few in my previous blog “THE SPIRITUAL DEFINITION OF BRAIN”; What is Human life, Part 12.
